Went to MCM service center yesterday for upgrading the firmware of Itech Mini II and repairing the Itech IIe ~ Something wrong with the Mini II connection. They didn't able to do so and swap me a brand new Mini II with latest firmware. Good service and warranty item! That's why i always go with the original products!

Tried to pair the Itech Mini II with Dopod 838Pro and SE K800i last night. Yes It worked fine without any problems til now! Incoming calls & Ougoing calls so far so good ~~~ I wish the Itech Mini II will come out III with Caller ID display and LONGER TALK TIME!

Have a talked with the general manager, Gary~ Yeah nice and friendly. Chat with him abt other itech products. I wasn't thinking to do the review for the Bluetooth Stereo Headphone BlueBand and BlueBand R~ Now Gary got me into it. I think i am going to get the BlueBand R soon which come with better features~

Information from Gary, There are 17 more new products from itech gonna come to Malaysia soon. So stay tune~

The left one was repaired from MCM service center yesterday~ They gave me back the same type of wire which will pull out again eventually~ Mean I will go back to MCM again sooner or later. ( Yes they did charge me for repairing )

The right one was repaired few months ago from MCM retail shop. They got me the better type wire... Shd have double checked~ Dang!

Really excited me are the new headlights come with new clear glass technology, transparent glass panels covering the direction indicators, chrome surrounds highlighting the technically sophisticated character of the round headlights. Look nicer :)

Finally 5 series come with the LED rear light~ Like the headlights at the front, the rear lights also come in a new, clear-glass look and now feature LED direction indicators... I've been waiting for this feature for so long~ Just Like the latest Benz E-Class and Toyota Camry!

SE W800i Firmware Upgraded~

firmware was R1AA008 since i bought the phone~

Double click the w800 exe file ~ input all the information needed then ..............

0) charge battery (20% is not enough)

1) remove battery

2) remove SIM card

3) insert battery

4) PC: Double-click "W800_new.exe"

4) MAC: execute "W800"

5) hold the "C" *on the phone* and connect phone to PC using DCU60 (service cable that came with phone)

6) release the "C" button on the phone

7) you see either lots of errors -> your phone is new and not CID36. There is no support for CID49 phones at the moment.

7) you see a configuration menu

8) default IMEI is for W800

( I'm trying to do it on my W800i with wrong CDA, so no need to change IMEI)

8) you can change the IMEI to match a K750 if you want to flash K750 firmware

8) in that case you can change IMEI with "I......". you will need a K750-CDA number!

9) default CDA is for EUROPE2

9) look up the correct W800-CDA number for your region/language/operator (see links below)

9) change the CDA number by entering "CDA....."

( I changed mine from CDA102239/43 to CDA102430/101 - Generic Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia / Philipines / Vietnam )

10) if configuration looks okay, hit "Q"

11) unplug the phone, quit W800.exe

12) dont touch the phone, leave battery inserted

13) start SEUS

14) SEUS -> start -> accept EULA -> select left port

15) do not remove battery

16) connect phone to PC

17) SEUS will detect W800 and region

18) if detection is okay (W800 + region), click "update", point of no return

18) if detection is not okay, hit "cancel" , quit SEUS, remove battery, wait, reinsert battery, repeat procedure

19) after flashing, unplug phone, remove battery, wait, reinsert battery

20) start phone

21) you should see flightmode/phonemode menu now

My SE W800i firmware was R1AA008. Finally got it upgraded to R1BC002 by SEUS online for FREE~ YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSss~ ~

Have been reading over the weekend~ wanna know how to edit the CDA of my W800i in order to upgrade the firmware. Gathered alot of information fr internet. Found out my W800i CID is not belong to Malaysia, that's why I was not able to upgrade the damn firmware ....

Explaination of CID :

CID 是 Customer IDentity 的简称,简单来说就是手机的平台版本. CID紧跟IMEI存储在手机的OTP(One Time Programmable)芯片中. CID 后面的数字代表的是索爱手机软件保护版本号,新的CID不断被使用,以用来防止手机被非索爱官方的维修程序拿来解锁/刷机/篡改. 目前索爱使用的CID有29/36/37/49四种. 基于索爱技术的LG/Sharp 手机也使用相同的系统(但是版本不同,即CID号码不同,如CID 37). 同一型号的手机其CID也不完全相同,比如K750就有CID36和CID49两种 CID49 目前是最新的CID版本,其存在于索爱的 K608, W500, W550, W600, W810, W900 以及新版的K750/W800中. CID36 是CID49之前的版本,存在于 J300, K300, K608, K600, Z800, K750, W800, Z520中. CID29 是CID36之前的版本,存在于 K500, K700, S700, V800中 目前,免费的刷机工具只能被用来刷CID36以及更低的版本。

Explaination of CDA :

CDA 号是标识手机销售地区的，又称硬件识别号，类似CD盒上的“只限大陆地区发行”，是写在手机内部的一个信息，索爱用它来识别手机的销售地区。比如在线升级，现在很多出售的水货K750都是刷了软件，但是没改CDA号的，也就是说CDA号还是它原来所在销售地区的，那么索爱的官方网站就会把它识别成其他国家的版本，这样升级过后手机又变成了其他语言的版本，不是之前的中文了，也就是说，现在购买水货的K750如果不是改过CDA号的就不能在线升级。同样，如果水货的手机没有刷中文软件，但是被改了大陆地区的CDA号，那么在线升级之后，手机软件会直接升级成中文。注意：现在CDA是可以通过刷机软件任意修改的，也就是说不能完全通过查看CDA来判断手机是不是水货。

如何验证CID的问题，可以通过Davinciteam Client 16.4这个软件来验证。

具体方法如下：

打开程序，点击程序右下部的READ CID/Test Cable ，

该按钮会变为 STOP

此时在左边窗口中显示 ：

**** READING CID STARTED ****Turn off the phone. <关闭手机>

Hold "C" button and plug USB cable <按C键插入USB数据线>(当发现手机你就可以释放C键)

此时，按住手机的C键不放同时插入USB 数据线，

软件对手机进行检测工程机及零售机：

Color后面英文为RED，即零售版。

如为BROWN即工程版零售版可以通过原装数据线升级，工程版要用到专门的刷机数据线升级或将RED改为COLOR检测完后。

关掉程序，把USB线拔下来即可

Step by Step (Chinese) : ~

下载下面的文件，把文件解压

把 cygwin1.dll 复制到 windows目录下 system 目录里

运行 w800.exe

关机，按住 C 键插入数据线

等一下

输入 I35682800672952（注意，这里的I是大写）

按enter

输入 CDA102425/3

按enter

输入 q

按enter

拔除数据线

这时不要开机，也不要拔出电池

然后按在线升级的方法升级就可以升为w800，但手机型号显示还是显示原来的型号

适用范围：

W800(CDA码错误)、 K750、 D750、 K758，且此方法只适用于 cid36 red 的机型。

这个软件不会向手机写入任何东西，只是骗过索爱的服务器，以为是w800运行软件前要先安装好usb驱动

Step by Step (English) : ~

0) charge battery (20% is not enough)

1) remove battery

2) remove SIM card

3) insert battery

4) PC: Double-click "W800_new.exe"

4) MAC: execute "W800"

5) hold the "C" *on the phone* and connect phone to PC using DCU60 (service cable that came with phone)

6) release the "C" button on the phone

19) after flashing, unplug phone, remove battery, wait, reinsert battery

20) start phone

What this procedure does not do:------------------------------------------

- change the IMEI

- change hardware identification to W800

- upload W800 themes/sounds/games

So it is always possible to revert to K750 via SEUS: simply do not use W800.exe. Just connect to SEUS and old configuration will be restored.

W800要想升级你的W800首先确认一下手机的CDA号，也就是索爱手机的硬件识别号，

在线升级系统就是通过手机的CDA号来识别需要升级到什么版本，

然后下载相应版本并升级，如果手机的CDA号是国外版本的话，

那么在线升级后将不支持中文，所以首先需要确认一下手机的CDA号。

查看CDA号的方法是输入以下指令“右*左左*左*”，

进入服务菜单选择软件信息即可查看手机的CDA号。

目前市面上经常见到的CDA号为：

Don't know what's wrong with my W800i~ Have been trying to upgrade the firmware but failed. Then found out last 9 K800i got new firmware again.Just now upgrade from R1ED001 to R1GB001 ~

My SE K800i with R1CB001 firmware doesn't show CALLER ID on my Itech Clip D. Upgraded from R1CB001 to R1ED001. Now it works fine with my Clip D.....

Guess have to wait til 838pro got new ROM only know whether it works or not. Currently ROM still don't work with Clip D ~ :( too bad ......
